At only 9-years-old, Dusty Liulay is affecting hundreds of lives every week. After being told he was too young to volunteer at a soup kitchen, he decided he would find another way to help those in need.

Every week Dusty fills about 150 brown bags with food as part of an organization called “Dusty’s Sacks of Hope” to help feed the homeless. He and a group of volunteers help distribute the lunches every Sunday in Portland, Oregon.

Dusty receives money for these beacons of hope with the help of GoFundMe. Dusty’s cousin helped create the page, which raised $2,600 in one month. Just $200 goes a long way, feeding about 120-130 individuals in need.
