In response to the water shortage crisis in Flint, Michigan, residents are receiving vital resources from some of Hollywood’s biggest names.

Sean “Diddy” Combs and Mark Wahlberg have donated one million bottles of water from their company AQUAhydrate in an effort to help with the issue.

“The AQUAhydrate team is doing everything it can to help with this issue,” Diddy explained to Yahoo News. “Mark and I made an initial pledge to donate and are committed to the continued aid to Flint residents as long as they need it.”

Combs and Wahlberg are utilizing social media to raise awareness of the issue, pleading for other stars to get involved. They have enlisted the help of Detroit-based rapper Eminem and rapper Wiz Khalifa. Other stars joining the effort include Cher, Pearl Jam, and Big Sean.

Other organizations currently coming to the town’s aid are Red Cross, Homeland Security, Michigan National Guard and Michigan State Emergency Management.

The town of Flint is facing a water shortage crisis after dangerously high levels of lead were detected in Flint’s water since officials opted to begin drawing the city’s water from the Flint River instead of the Detroit municipal system.
