About three hundred plumbers offered up their services to help out residents of Flint, Michigan affected by the water crisis.

After hazardous levels of lead and contaminates were found in the town’s water supply, residents were informed to discontinue use of the water.

In response to the crisis, members of the union Plumbing Manufacturers International stepped in to offer up resources and labor. The group of do-gooders distributed and installed hundreds of faucets and others donated plumbing supplies, as well as Brita water filters on Jan. 30, according to MLive.

In December 2015, the water crisis was declared an emergency and in January 2016, federal funds were allocated to Flint to provide aid to residents.

Celebrities have also stepped in to help with the water emergency. Madonna, Cher, Mark Wahlberg and Sean “Diddy” Combs have donated bottled water and money to the cause.
