Four-year-old Jobiah Wells got a special Christmas surprise from a few of his favorite people – his local garbage collectors. Jobiah’s loves the garbage men and what they do. His fascination with garbage is uncanny.

Every week, when his local garbage men empty the cans surrounding Jobiah’s house, 17 in total, Jobiah looks forward to collecting the empty cans and wheeling them up the driveway for his neighbors.

Jobiah’s mother told KCRA about the special bond that developed between the professional trash collectors and her son. “It started as waving at the trucks each week, and then the workers started waving back,” said Rachael Wells.

Knowing her son’s love of garbage collecting, she wasn’t surprised when he asked for a few specific things this year for Christmas – four new trashcans — two for recycling, one for yard waste, and one for trash.

What better way to receive his gifts than by the garbage men themselves. After the workers finished their daily route, they circled back to Jobiah’s home, equipped with all four trashcans, all adorned with big red bows. Jobiah was speechless at first, then quickly got to work, wheeling down his old trash cans, replacing them with the new ones.

Check out his reaction below!
