April, the mother of football player C.J. Williams, came up with the idea to perform the dance before their first playoff game. She told Cosmopolitan magazine, “The boys are doing really well this year and we wanted to something to show our support for them.”

April, along with 10 other mothers of enrolled students practiced the dance choreographed by Steele High School student Jada Brown. They danced to the popular songs, “Watch Me” and “Hit The Quan.”

The performance was a complete shock to the students. During the pep rally, it was announced that there was a surprise performance. All 11 moms walked onto the basketball court front and center all wearing masks. When the music began, they all pulled off their masks revealing their identity. The moms admitted they were scared to see what the reaction would be, but after they started dancing, students were clearly impressed, cheering and clapping them on. After the dance was over, they all received hugs from their kids.
