Rev. Steve Markle of the Sycamore Creek Church in Pickerington, OH. focused a good portion of his sermons over the past month centered around the importance of generosity.
To give the congregation an up close and personal view of what a token of generosity can do for someone, he called Dominos to order a pizza. When the delivery driver, Natasha, arrived at the church, a member took her on stage to hand the pizza to Markle for payment. He asked her, “What’s the largest tip you’ve ever received?” She responded saying, “Um, maybe $10 bucks.”
He paid Natasha and told her that he had been teaching his church about the idea of generosity and that over his three congregations, he’d gathered up donations to give to her. As he pulled out a stack of bills, Natasha put her hand over her mouth in pure shock and began to cry. Markle told her there was over $1,000 for her tip, $1,046 to be exact.
Check out her heartwarming reaction.
