The Guinness World Record title for World’s Oldest cat was awarded to a 26-year-old feline named Corduroy.
The mane coon earned the title after fellow record-holder, 27-year-old “Tiffany Two,” passed away.

Corduroy’s owner Ashley Reed Okura of Oregon took the cat home when she was just 6-years-old, picking him out from a litter. Okura spoke of her excitement of her pet’s new title in a press release claiming, “We are thrilled! I bought Corduroy a mouse to celebrate. He is such a mellow, cool old cat and it is wonderful to share him with the world. … Corduroy has been through all of my life’s major events and I feel blessed he is still healthy and enjoying life. We hope to continue to give him a good life for years to come.”
